Prof. Mohan Munasinghe

Sustainability Expert

He has served as the Senior Energy Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka (1982-87) and Advisor to the US President's Council on Environmental Quality (1990-92).

Author of numerous books and papers on economics, climate change, energy, water resources, transport and other environment issues, he has won several prizes and medals honoring his research and advocacy work/advisory role. He is a Fellow of many internationally recognized Academies of Science, and serves on the editorial boards of over a dozen international journals. He has taught in major universities in Canada, India, Sri Lanka, UK and USA. He s currently the Chairman of the Munasinghe Institute for Development in Sri Lanka.
