William Becker
Climate Policy Expert
Bill serves as the Executive Director of the Presidential Climate Action Project (PCAP). ) He served for 15 years as a senior official at the U.S. Department of Energy and is regarded as an expert on energy, climate and sustainable development policy. He has also served as Advisor for Global Energy Centre and a Faculty member of Colorado School Mines. Author of ‘The 100 Day Action Plan to Save the Planet, he is a frequent guest columnist on Huffington Post and other prominent blogs.
He continues consulting with members of the U.S. Administration to press for aggressive action on climate change. In addition, he leads the ‘Central Appalachia Prosperity Project’ and “The Future We Want,” an initiative that uses state-of-the-art communications technology to help the public envision life in a sustainable society.
