Climate Change Expert
Recipient of the Champions of the Earth Award, he is a senior fellow with the UN Foundation. As CEO and Chairman of the Global Environmental Facility he pioneered it from its pilot phase into a pre-eminent global environmental fund.
Author of several books, he has written numerous papers related to water, arid lands, biodiversity loss, climate change, degradation of international waters, ozone depletion, desertification, and persistent organic pollutants.
